This year’s awards show drew around 100,000 fewer total viewers in comparison to 2022, when the Critics’ Choice Awards garnered 1.1 million viewers across a simulcast by the CW and TBS. In 2021, a virtual edition of the Critics’ Choice Awards drew only 365,000 viewers.

The awards show faced fierce competition for viewers because it was up against the broadcast of the NFL’s AFC wild-card game. NBC’s broadcast of the football game between the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens was the ratings winner, with more than 21 million viewers.
