Missing mother and wife Ana Walshe filed a police complaint in 2014 with Washington, D.C., police stating that her husband had threatened her.

The Massachusetts woman has been missing since the early morning on Jan. 1. Her husband, Brian Walshe, was arrested on Sunday after allegedly misleading police after giving conflicting statements on his wife’s location and his whereabouts while on house arrest.

Her employees reported her missing to police on Jan. 4 after she didn’t show up to work at her office in Washington, D.C.

Ana Walshe, under the name Ana Knipp, her name from her first marriage, filed a public incident report in Washington and told the Metropolitan Police Department that Brian Walshe “made a statement over the telephone that he was going to kill [Ana] and her friend,” per WVTM 13 News.

The report, dated Aug. 2, 2014, did not specifically name Brian Walshe. However, Washington police confirmed to WVTM’s sister station that he was the one associated with the incident report.

No charges were ever filed against Brian Walshe for the 2014 incident report.

Brian Walshe is in jail on a $500,000 cash bail, despite only being charged with one count of intimidation of a witness.

Evidence obtained from the Walshes’ home, a transfer station, and surveillance cameras have shifted investigators’ focus from a missing person search to the possibility that Ana Walshe was killed.

Blood remnants and a bloody knife were found in the basement of the Walshes’ home, and a hacksaw, hatchet, rug, and cleaning supplies were found in a transfer station’s trash compactor 15 minutes from Brian Walshe’s mother’s home.
