In 2022, Howard pleaded guilty to obstructing a law enforcement officer, as said officer was attempting to perform his duty during civil disorder.
Howard attacked the officer on Aug. 23, 2020, while the officer was attempting to dispose of a damaged police vehicle, according to prosecutors.
He hurled a brick at the officer, knocking him unconscious and leading to injury that required hospitalization.
Videos on Howard’s phone reportedly showed the incident.
Emojis accompanying the video included those representing “quiet” and “mouth shut,” the prosecution showed.
