After months of speculation about what Camille Vasquez will do with her newfound fame following the Johnny Depp v. Amber Heard defamation trial, the attorney’s next move has been revealed.
Vasquez will join NBC News as a legal analyst. She made her first appearance on the Today Show on Monday discussing the University of Idaho quadruple murder case.

The Depp lawyer commented on the helpful and harmful aspects of social media as high-profile cases play out across social media.
“This has become something that has really captivated the country,” Vasquez said. “People want to talk about the evidence. They want to talk about the human impact.”
Vasquez noted the need for key details to be retained by investigators so that court cases are not jeopardized. However, she added that sharing information online can assist in gathering evidence.

The attorney made a name for herself as she cross-examined Amber Heard and issued closing arguments in the defamation trial that concluded with an overwhelming victory for Depp in June 2022.
Following her representation of Depp, Vasquez received offers from talent agents, other media outlets, and law firms asking her to join their teams.
