Christian podcasts on the Bible and faith top Apple and Spotify charts

Leading the way for most listened-to podcasts early in 2023 are those regarding faith and the Bible.
Podcasts designed to help people engage with their faith on a daily basis have secured three of the top five most popular podcasts on both Apple and Spotify platforms.
The Catechism in a Year currently leads the chart for Apple and sits in the No. 2 spot on Spotify.

Behind it are The Bible Recap and The Bible in a Year podcasts.
Chartable.com also lists The Catechism in a Year, The Bible Recap, and The Bible in a Year podcasts as the top three most popular shows, as of this writing.
Ascension President and CEO Jonathan Strate called it “an astonishing moment.”
“It speaks to the deep longing we all have to respond to God’s plan for each one of us — a plan revealed so beautifully in the treasure that is the Catechism,” Strate said.
The Catechism in a Year is composed of 20-minute daily episodes as Fr. Mike Schmitz reads through the Catechism, adding prayers and reflections.
The Bible in a Year podcast began in January 2021 and quickly became popular on Apple, claiming the top spot that month.

Chartable also listed The Bible in a Year podcast as its top 2022 global podcast for Religion & Spirituality.
The Joe Rogan Experience currently holds Spotify’s No. 1 spot.
