Chaotic Chicago scene after man crashes carjacked vehicle into pole with owner inside

The struggle between a vehicle owner and two alleged carjackers led to a chaotic scene in Chicago Wednesday night.
Just before 5:45pm, a man and woman allegedly attempted to carjack an Infiniti FX35 near the 100 block of Lake Street, according to FOX 32.

As the car began to drive away with the Infiniti’s female owner still inside, it crashed into a train track support beam, trapping all three people inside.
“The lady was yelling trying to get people to come around and trying to get the cops,” Courtney Gordon, who witnessed the crash, said.
The Chicago Fire Department reportedly had to extract them out of the car.

All three individuals were taken to nearby hospitals where the male suspect was pronounced dead and the female suspect taken into custody with charges pending.
The Infiniti’s owner was reported as being in stable condition.
