Former President Bill Clinton skirted around answering a pointed question about his connections to Jeffrey Epstein.

While campaigning in Laredo, Texas, at an event for Democratic Rep. Henry Cuellar on Monday, a reporter asked Clinton if he had any comments “on the alleged — allegation of your connection with Jeffrey Epstein?”

Clinton appeared to be caught slightly off guard and smiled.

“I think the evidence is clear,” Clinton said as he walked away.

Virginia Giuffre, who has accused Epstein and his former girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell of abusing her, said she saw Clinton visiting Epstein’s private Caribbean island.

Epstein’s former pilot Lawrence Paul Visoski Jr. also alleged during Maxwell’s 2021 trial that he flew former Presidents Donald Trump and Clinton on Epstein’s plane.

In December, Maxwell was found guilty of sex-trafficking in connection to her business dealings with Epstein, who was found hanging in his New York jail cell one month after being arrested on his own sex-trafficking charges in 2019. Maxwell was sentenced to 20 years in prison.
