Former President Donald Trump called for a new Justice Department investigation into President Joe Biden, even as he himself is staring down multiple federal investigations to start the new year.
Trump cited a Freedom of Information Act complaint lawsuit filed by Colorado attorney Kevin Evans against the DOJ in March. Evans told Fox Business that he originally filed a FOIA request “pertaining to any relationship, communication, gift(s), and/or remuneration in any form” regarding the overseas business dealings of Biden’s brother and son, James and Hunter Biden.

Evans claimed that the DOJ admitted in court to having 400 “potentially responsive” documents relating to his request but is now refusing to produce the documents.
“These records lead to, and implicate, Joe Biden and the many millions of dollars that have been stolen over the years. Why isn’t the Radical Left DOJ, and the Corrupt, Election Changing DBI (Democrat Bureau of Investigation), coming ‘CLEAN?'” Trump posted on his social media site, Truth Social, Tuesday morning. “After 7 years of investigations on me, and even Spying on my Campaign, they found NOTHING! How about spending some time and effort on Joe?”
Trump is potentially facing criminal charges relating to two separate DOJ investigations: one involving his actions around the Jan. 6 Capitol riot and a second regarding his handling of classified material after departing the presidency.
He is also facing a new adult survivors suit from author E. Jean Carroll and a nearly $300 million civil suit filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James regarding his own business dealings in the state.
