A woman was arrested after witnesses saw her shove a 3-year-old girl onto the light rail train tracks at the Gateway Transit Center in the Woodland Park neighborhood in Portland, Oregon, Wednesday night.

TriMet released surveillance video showing the toddler girl waiting with her mother on the platform for a train. Brianna Workman, a homeless woman, is seen staring at the girl and then getting up from the bench behind them. She walked behind the girl and pushed her onto the train tracks.

The mother and witnesses quickly rescued the girl from the train tracks.

“The child landed face-first onto the metal rail and rocks,” Multnomah County District Attorney Mike Schmidt said in a statement. “The child reported a severe headache and had a small red mark on their forehead after the incident.”
