Lara Trump unveils top priorities for RNC she’s rumored to be preparing to run

.

Lara Trump recently announced her top priorities as the next possible Republican National Committee co-chairwoman, highlighting plans to improve fundraising for the party ahead of a critical election in November.

Trump, the daughter-in-law of former President Donald Trump, said some of her focus on day one as head of the RNC would be to promote legal ballot harvesting, recruit and train poll watchers, and register more Republican voters.

“We have to legally ballot harvest everywhere we possibly can,” Lara Trump told a crowd of supporters on Wednesday. “I’m here to do whatever I can to make sure we get this country back on track.”

Lara Trump accused Democrats of trying to steal elections through various methods and claimed it was vital that Republicans follow the law.

The RNC hopeful also said that fundraising would be a “day one” priority because Democrats already have a large campaign chest behind them.

“I think that goal No. 1 on day No. 1 is we need to start fundraising on the Republican side of the aisle because the Democrats have a war chest,” Lara Trump told Fox News. “We all know that [President] Joe Biden, despite him being a horrific candidate and having just really awful polling that you see right now across the board for him, he does have a lot behind him. He’s got a lot of money behind him. He’s got the mainstream media behind him. He’s got the Democrat political machine behind him. And so we have a lot of ground to cover between now and Nov. 5.”

Lara Trump added that “every single penny” the RNC rakes in should go toward making sure Donald Trump returns to the Oval Office later this year and that Republicans have control of both chambers of Congress.

The former first daughter-in-law also emphasized the need to connect with young voters, including those on college campuses, and praised Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk’s ability to reach the young voters.

Lara Trump is perceived as the front-runner to lead the party after Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel resigns. The RNC and McDaniel haven’t confirmed there will be any change in leadership, but McDaniel has offered to step down from leadership following the South Carolina primary this weekend.

Lara Trump received her father-in-law’s endorsement after news of McDaniel’s departure, but no timeline for when the voting takes place has been set. However, committee members have said they expect to vote early next month.

Donald Trump’s other plans for new RNC leadership include electing North Carolina Republican Party Chairman Michael Whatley as chairman and his co-campaign manager Chris LaCivita as the committee’s chief operating officer.
