The Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program will send out its final direct payments for the month of February to Georgia families over the next two days.
Food stamps are sent out from Feb. 5-23 in the Peach State. SNAP payments will be issued to beneficiaries depending on the last two digits of their client ID numbers.
Beneficiary IDs ending in 00 through 89 should have collected SNAP benefits by Wednesday, and those with IDs 90 through 99 will collect on Friday.
The maximum payment that a household of one can receive is $291, while a household of five can get up to $1,155, and a household of eight can get up to $1,751. For each household member after eight, $219 is added.

Roughly 15% of the state’s population, or about 1.6 million people, receive SNAP benefits in Georgia. The average payment per household member per month is $188.
Georgians can use their benefits to purchase eligible food items at participating grocery or convenience stores through an electronic benefits transfer card, which is similar to a debit card. Meat, poultry and fish products, dairy items, breads and cereals, and other eligible groceries can be purchased using SNAP. Products such as pet food, alcohol, and household items such as paper and soap cannot be purchased using SNAP benefits.
