The mind behind Twitter’s “Libs of TikTok” account says Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R) offered her sanctuary in his own home after she was unmasked earlier this year.

Chaya Raichik, the creator of the famous account which is popular for exposing the radical Left, said that after her identity was revealed, she received countless threats and was subsequently contacted by DeSantis’s office about her safety.

“Someone from Ron DeSantis’s team called me, and she said, ‘The governor wanted me to give you a message,’ she said. ‘If you don’t feel safe or if you or your family need a place to go and hide, you can come to the governor’s mansion.'”

Raichik was offered to stay in the guest house for as long as she needed by DeSantis, she told Tucker Carlson on Tuesday.

“I was almost in tears,” she said. “The governor of Florida. I’m living in California, and he took time out of his, I’m assuming, extremely busy schedule to … send someone to call me to make sure I’m safe.”

Raichik recently thanked DeSantis in person, according to a Tuesday tweet.

“He was so gracious,” she wrote. “Brushed it off. He said, ‘Of course! You do great work!’ It wasn’t even a question for him. Genuinely a kindhearted person.”

Raichik was unmasked in April 2022 when Washington Post reporter Taylor Lorenz revealed her name, occupation, religion, and the borough of New York she at one point lived in. Lorenz argued that the reveal is warranted because of the account’s large influence.
