Jan. 6 panel releases 50 more witness transcripts day after releasing final report

The Jan. 6 committee released 50 more transcripts on Friday, this time making the interviews of key witnesses such as former first daughter Ivanka Trump, former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, and former White House counsel Pat Cipollone available to the public.

The transcripts of former Attorney General William Barr and former White House Communications Director Hope Hicks were also made available.

The Jan. 6 committee’s latest dump of witness transcripts comes a day after the panel made its final report available to the public, in which the committee laid out all the evidence it collected during the 18-month investigation.

In the report, the panel accused former President Donald Trump of engaging in a “multi-part conspiracy” to overturn the 2020 election that caused the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.
