Multiple Tesla users have reported that their vehicles are no longer carrying the streaming platform Disney+, with such reports coming in a little more than a week after Tesla owner Elon Musk criticized Disney CEO Bob Iger.
Tesla owners began stating on Monday that the streaming app was not available in their vehicles, posting photos of the missing streaming platform on X, the social media website once known as Twitter. It comes after Disney+ was launched on Tesla consoles in 2021.

“I can confirm that Disney+ has been removed from my Tesla Model S,” wrote Whole Mars Catalog, an X account covering technology news. “Strangely, our Hardware 3 Model S on the same firmware still has it.”

Whole Mars Catalog also found a workaround for those who still want to watch Disney+ in their Tesla. They can simply look up the streaming platform’s URL in the vehicle’s search bar to watch Disney+ content.

The reports of Disney+ being removed from Tesla come after Musk criticized Iger on X on Dec. 7 over how Disney was continuing its advertising on Facebook and Instagram but not on X. Disney, along with several other companies, boycotted X over fears that its ads would be displayed next to far-right messages.
Musk’s criticisms of Iger and Disney were over a civil lawsuit filed by New Mexico’s attorney general against Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, alleging that two of Meta’s biggest platforms, Facebook and Instagram, created “prime locations” for sexual predators. Musk stated that Iger believes “it’s cool to advertise next to child exploitation material” and that he should be “fired immediately.”
“Walt Disney is turning in his grave over what Bob has done to his company,” Musk wrote.
