WATCH: Michigan coach Juwan Howard gets restrained and swears at own players during defeat

Michigan basketball head coach Juwan Howard had to be held back by players after losing to the University of North Carolina Wednesday, less than a year after he got into a fight with an opposing coach.
Trailing UNC by six points with 36 seconds left in the second half, Howard got heated with a referee, which caused his players to intervene and hold him back from escalating the situation any further.

Howard pulled back far from the official and was cooled down by his players.
The confrontation was in stark contrast to the interaction he had with the Wisconsin coaching staff in February.
After losing to Wisconsin in that game, Howard got into a heated argument with the opposing team’s coaching staff. Eventually, Howard threw a jab at Wisconsin assistant coach Joe Krabbenhoft, leading to a brawl between the two teams.

Howard was suspended five games and fined $40,000 for the incident.
Michigan fell 80-76 to UNC, dropping their season record to 7-4, and putting them in third place in the Big Ten.
