Elon Musk loses cool during Twitter Spaces chat and calls critic a ‘jacka**’

Elon Musk called a critic a “jacka**” and a “moron” in a Twitter Space after being pressed for answers on Twitter’s technology stacks.
Musk, who recently announced he would be stepping down as CEO of the platform, joined a conversation hosted by renowned American security hacker George Hotz to discuss his idea for a “total rewrite” of Twitter to achieve a “really high velocity.”

This prompted former Twitter employee Ian Brown to start hounding Musk for more concrete answers on how he was going to accomplish this goal, particularly focused on Musk’s idea to amend the “crazy stack,” or technologies used to create Twitter.
“When you say ‘crazy stack,’ what do you mean? Break it down,” Brown said. “C’mon, buddy. Come on.”
Musk, who had been stammering to find an answer, replied, “Are you… Who are you?”
“What do you mean, who am I? I don’t know. You gave me the f***ing mic,” Brown said, prompting Hotz to ask the men to keep it civil.
“Come on, man, take me from top to bottom,” Brown continued. “What does the stack look like right now? What’s so crazy about it? What is so abnormal about this stack versus every other large-scale system on the planet, buddy? Come on! Give it to me.”
Eventually, Musk responded, “Amazing. Wow. You’re a jacka**.”
Hotz pulled the mic away from Brown after he sarcastically stated he didn’t know what he was talking about, despite working at Twitter for eight years.
“Good! What a moron,” Musk said after Brown was muted.
Hotz was hired by Musk in November to help him fix Twitter but resigned 12 weeks later, stating that he did not think there was an “impact [he] could make there,” according to the Daily Mail.
The Twitter CEO is set to step down as head of the platform after one of his polls voted him out, with 57.5% of respondents saying he should take a step away.
“I will resign as CEO as soon as I find someone foolish enough to take the job! After that, I will just run the software & servers teams,” he tweeted after the poll was finalized.

His tenure has been marked by mass layoffs and the unbanning of numerous accounts previously struck down, though he has banned many others during his own time as CEO. Musk’s release of the “Twitter Files” in collaboration with journalists has prompted scrutiny and criticism from politicians and the FBI, among others.
