WATCH: Terry Bradshaw reflects on the death of Steelers legend Franco Harris

Following the death of Pittsburgh Steelers legend and NFL Hall of Famer Franco Harris, his teammate and longtime friend Terry Bradshaw is among those paying tribute.
Harris, best known for the Immaculate Reception, died early Wednesday. He was 72 years old.
“We always laughed,” Bradshaw told NFL Network’s Good Morning Football. “He seriously was just a good guy. Never was overtaken. His success never changed him. And that’s one of the beauties about him.”

Harris’s passing comes as the Steelers will commemorate the Immaculate Reception’s 50th anniversary at their game Saturday night.
“This was going be the greatest moment in Franco’s retirement life,” Bradshaw said. “Now, he’s getting his jersey retired, which is unheard of with Pittsburgh.”
“It’s difficult to find the appropriate words to describe Franco Harris’ impact on the Pittsburgh Steelers, his teammates, the City of Pittsburgh and Steelers Nation,” team President Art Rooney II wrote. “Franco brought joy to people on and off the field. He never stopped giving back in so many ways. He touched so many, and was loved by so many.”

Bradshaw said his last time seeing Harris was when they filmed a commercial about the legendary play that debuted on Tuesday.

“He was the ultimate team guy. … You don’t see that much anymore,” Bradshaw said. “It’s a sad day for sure.”
