An aide reportedly told the Jan. 6 committee he saw then-President Donald Trump “tearing” documents while he was in the White House.

Nick Luna, who served as a personal aide to Trump in the White House, told the committee that he did not see which documents Trump tore, according to recorded testimony acquired by CBS News.

“Did I ever see him tear up notes? I don’t know what the documents were, but there [was] tearing,” the aide said, per the outlet.

HOW DONALD TRUMP’S WEEK COULD GO FROM BAD TO WORSE

When he was asked directly by the committee’s senior investigative counsel if he had seen Trump tearing up documents, Luna allegedly said, “That’s correct.”

The testimony is the latest in the Trump documents saga, with the National Archives alleging that the former president has held on to documents from his presidency, which are the property of the U.S. government, per the Presidential Records Act.

The Presidential Records Act stipulates “that any records created or received by the President as part of his constitutional, statutory, or ceremonial duties are the property of the United States government and will be managed by NARA at the end of the administration,” according to the National Archives.

Trump’s home at Mar-a-Lago in Florida was raided in August over his alleged storing of classified documents, along with documents that the National Archives said were its property.

A recent report alleges Trump stored some of the classified documents at Mar-a-Lago, which also serves as a member club, within feet of guests.
