Request denied: Judge rules Scott Peterson should not get new trial for 2002 murders

Scott Peterson, the man convicted of killing his pregnant wife Laci in 2002, will not be getting a new trial anytime soon.

San Mateo County Superior Court Judge Anne-Christine Massullo denied his request Tuesday, according to court documents.

The decision comes roughly 20 years after Laci Peterson’s death.
