Dolly Parton dresses up as Dallas Cowboys cheerleader for Thanksgiving performance

Country legend Dolly Parton graced audiences with a Thanksgiving performance dressed as one of the Dallas Cowboys‘s cheerleaders.

Parton, 77, appeared at the Dallas Cowboys vs. Washington Commanders football game on Thursday as the halftime show. She wore the iconic white shorts and cropped vest with blue stars and a bodysuit on stage while performing. Parton performed a collection of her most celebrated songs, from “Jolene” to “9 to 5,” while promoting her latest album Rockstar. Her performance also included covers of Queen classics “We Are the Champions” and “We Will Rock You.”

“She looks amazing. She’s wonderful,” CBS Broadcaster Tony Romo said after the performance. “Who doesn’t like Dolly Parton?” he asked.

The halftime show was part of the Dallas Cowboys’ annual tradition of hosting a football game on Thanksgiving. The show was sponsored by the Salvation Army.

“I am so proud to have kicked off the giving season with my Red Kettle Kickoff performance!” Parton wrote on X, the platform formerly known as Twitter, before the show. “Every dollar you give to [Salvation Army] helps your neighbors in need during the holidays and all year long.”
