Kirk Cameron declares victory, says two libraries ‘caved’ after rejecting his faith-based book

Actor and film producer Kirk Cameron declared victory over two libraries that had denied him the ability to read his new faith-based children’s book.
Earlier this month, Cameron blasted several libraries for turning down his request to read his As You Grow book while they had previously hosted drag queen story hours.
“They caved,” Cameron’s publisher told Fox News Digital, noting that he would be reading his book at the Indianapolis Public Library in Indiana and the Scarsdale Public Library about 25 miles north of New York City.

The Growing Pains star’s new book follows the journey of a tree’s growth, with Cameron calling it “biblical wisdom through the seasons of life.”
“I’m happy that the two libraries changed their decision and will allow my voice to be heard and my book to be read,” Cameron said. “I hope that this victory acts as a source of courage for Christians and conservatives across the country to be brave and not back down, making sure that we are the salt of the earth and the light of the darkness.”
While appearing on Tucker Carlson Tonight on Dec. 7, Cameron questioned the libraries’ commitment to diversity.

“I’m thinking, ‘Wow, if we’re so committed to diversity, why am I being excluded?’” Cameron said. “Why can’t I use your facility to read my book? You’re a library.'”
“My understanding of history is that the family and the church are two great pillars of Western civilization,” Cameron added. “Those two things need to be removed and taken out of the way in order to fundamentally change the power structure and the moral value code of the nation.”

Cameron has called on conservative parents and grandparents to follow his example.
“Let’s invest in our children and teach them the values we want them to learn,” Cameron said.
