Raging Yule: Robert DeNiro’s Manhattan home burgled by woman who stole Christmas presents

She’s a mean one.

Robert DeNiro’s home was broken into in the early hours of Monday morning, with the Christmas cat burglar attempting to steal presents from under the Hollywood star’s tree.

Shanice Aviles, 30, broke into his townhouse on the Upper East Side in Manhattan, New York City, New York, around 2:45 a.m., per NBC New York.

Police told the outlet that DeNiro was home at the time of the invasion but was not aware of the intruder until NYPD entered the home to arrest her. He came downstairs in a bathrobe to find the officers arresting Aviles, per police.

New York Police Department officers reportedly saw her go down into a stairwell near the entrance of the townhouse. When she did not come back up, the NYPD’s 19th Precinct Public Safety team saw her taking presents under DeNiro’s Christmas tree and entered the home to arrest her.

Aviles already has “numerous” arrests, with 26 prior arrests in total. Of the 26, 16 are related to burglary and petit larceny charges. Seven of the burglaries occurred in the area near DeNiro’s home, per police, and NYPD has been tracking her.

Any details regarding new charges for this case are not available at this time.

DeNiro’s spokesperson declined to give a comment on the situation, per TODAY.
