Shortly after posting the poll, Musk tweeted that “as the saying goes, be careful what you wish, as you might get it” and “those who want power are the ones who least deserve it.”
The billionaire has said he will abide by the results of the poll, but has not commented since the results became final Monday morning.

Before posting the poll, Musk had vowed to conduct polls before “major policy changes” and apologizing for not doing so previously.
Major change has been the theme at the social media giant, with a revamp of the Twitter blue check currently underway. Musk has made headlines recently for restoring access to Twitter accounts for previously banned users such as James O’Keefe, but also for temporarily suspending several reporters for allegedly “doxxing” him by publishing the whereabouts of his private jet.
