White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre will hold a press briefing Tuesday afternoon with National Security Council spokesman John Kirby.
On Monday, President Joe Biden signed an executive order to monitor the development of artificial intelligence and regulate the risks. Under the Defense Production Act, major AI companies must inform the government when creating a system that poses “serious risk to national security, national economic security or national public health and safety.”
