President Joe Biden’s team took a thinly veiled shot at former President Donald Trump’sMAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT” Thursday morning, tweeting out a list of things Biden had accomplished in recent weeks.

Trump had previewed his announcement, which turned out to be the launch of a new line of non-fungible tokens, or NFTs, on Truth Social the day prior. The images, each selling for $99, portray Trump as a cartoon superhero, cowboy, and other glorified characters.

“MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT! My official Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection is here! These limited edition cards feature amazing ART of my Life & Career,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “Collect all of your favorite Trump Digital Trading Cards, very much like a baseball card, but hopefully much more exciting. Go to collecttrumpcards.com/ & GET YOUR CARDS NOW! Only $99 each! Would make a great Christmas gift. Don’t Wait. They will be gone, I believe, very quickly.”

Biden’s Twitter account, which is run by the Democratic National Committee, responded with a tweet Thursday afternoon clearly poking fun at Trump’s trading cards.

“I had some MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENTS the last couple of weeks, too,” the account tweeted. “Inflation’s easing. I just signed the Respect for Marriage Act. We brought Brittney Griner home. Gas prices are lower than a year ago. 10,000 new high-paying jobs in Arizona.”

Asked about the tweet, a senior DNC official laughed and told the Washington Examiner, “We like to have fun.”

Trump launched his 2024 White House bid the week after the midterm elections, but numerous legal problems have complicated his campaign rollout.
