Prime disguise: Criminal posing as Amazon driver arrested following multiple package thefts

A Cincinnati man has been arrested following a slew of local thefts after police discovered he had been posing as an Amazon delivery driver.
Breshawn Wynn, 33, is accused of breaking into three apartment buildings and one office building in Walnut Hills, Ohio, and one apartment building in Corryville, dressed up as an Amazon driver in October, according to court records via WXIX.

Wynn targeted each address multiple times, according to police, and stole thousands of dollars in packages, boxes, and cash over the course of the month.
He is charged with felony theft, burglary, and breaking and entering. Wynn admitted to some of the offenses, per criminal complaints filed in Hamilton County.
One complaint states that Wynn confessed that he did “exert control” over an Ironside computer worth $5,000 without the owner’s consent on Oct. 4. The crime was caught on video.
Wynn admitted to forcing his way into an apartment building’s package room while posing as an Amazon employee on Oct. 15, which was also caught on camera.
Marie Pope, one of Wynn’s alleged victims, who lives in an apartment complex in Walnut Hills, said he would sometimes leave packages behind after opening them, stating that he didn’t like what he unwrapped.
“We actually had a couple that were open, and they just left it,” Pope said. “They didn’t want it. It was like, ‘Thanks for not stealing my essential oils!’”
She said she is now on the alert to protect her packages.
“When it says it’s delivered, I go right down to the officer and pick up my package,” she said. “I don’t wait.”
Wynn’s bond is set at 10% of a $12,000 total — $3,000 for each charge. He is going before a grand jury on Dec. 27 for a possible indictment. He is still in jail pending officers fitting him for an electronic monitoring unit (EMU) to wear, and then he will be released. He cannot have contact with the victims.
The Amazon poser has a criminal history, according to arrest records, and a tendency to commit more crimes while out on bond or supervision for prior offenses.

He was arrested several times in Hamilton County for various crimes, including a felony cocaine possession conviction in 2007. He has been on community control since Feb. 15 after he pleaded guilty to a felony charge of possessing weapons while under disability, according to WXIX.
Wynn was also convicted of other felony break-in charges in 2008 and 2010 for actions at the University of Cincinnati while out on bond for another crime he committed. Court records show he has not paid his court dues for a trespassing charge in 2010.
