Social media erupted over the debut of the Donald Trump Digital Trading Card collection, with many ribbing the $99 apiece cyber art after the former president touted a “MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT.”

Trump debuted the new digital cards in a video featuring himself as a cartoon superhero shooting off lasers from his eyes while quipping that he was “hopefully your favorite president of all time, better than Lincoln, better than Washington.”

TRUMP REVEALS ‘MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT’: DIGITAL TRADING CARDS WORTH $99

Trump had teased a “MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT” on Thursday, but the ploy got lampooned even among many conservative pundits.

“If ego was energy, Donald Trump would be the fusion reaction breakthrough we’ve sought for decades,” tweeted Duane Patterson, a producer for conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt jabbed.

“Holy s***balls. So, I didn’t believe Trump was actually selling trading cards of himself. But it’s true. I went to the website and there’s a video of him genuinely saying that he’s ‘better than Lincoln, better than Washington’ and then he goes on to shill his f***ing cards. Trash,” journalist Neil Mackay tweeted.

“Why do I get the impression that Trump isn’t serious about 2024? His launch of NFTs doesn’t feel right,” conservative commentator Ian Miles Cheong pondered.

“Trump launches a campaign calling out the machine, mocking the establishment ruthlessly, slamming war [then] he continues in 2020 with expansion of sound policy, pulling troops out of the middle east, negotiating peace,” YouTuber Tim Pool tweeted. “Now hes selling NFT’s. Homie basically retired.”

“All I can say is that those of us who have lost friends, fought with relatives, resigned positions, been called traitor, left our party, all because we saw very clearly what a con-man, huckster and fraud this man is, have never felt more vindicated,” attorney Ron Filipkowski tweeted.

“OMG I literally can’t stop laughing!! This was his ‘MAJOR ANNOUNCEMENT’ he teased yesterday! His most pathetic, ridiculous grift ever. What a total f***ing clown of epic proportions. How can his brainwashed cult still worship this complete and utter fool? Amazing,” Twitter user Spiro’s Ghost said.

While the cards fed fodder for Trump’s detractors, not everyone joined the mockery.

“Yes, I am purchasing the entire collection of President Trump’s digital trading cards. No, I will not apologize for it,” author Nick Adams tweeted.

The digital suite features swanky images of a superhero Trump shooting lasers out of his eyes, donning an astronaut suit, and swinging his golf club, among other flattering depictions. Each card has a “unique pre-assigned rarity.” Fans who purchase 45 of the Trump cards “today” will get “a guaranteed ticket to attend the Gala Dinner with Trump in South Florida,” an online store for the cards noted.

For fans inclined to embark on less of a splurge, each of the non-fungible tokens, commonly known as NFTs, purchased will get one entry into a “sweepstakes to win one of thousands of amazing prizes.” The cards are randomly generated, so “you won’t know which card you receive until you check your wallet,” the store added.

Trump announced his 2024 campaign last month. Polling indicates he may face stiff competition from Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL), should the latter run for president.
