The Loudoun County School Board is holding its first meeting since former Loudoun County Public Schools Superintendent Scott Ziegler was indicted on three misdemeanor charges.
The indictments against Ziegler from a grand jury stem from the school district’s mistreatment of sexual assault cases at schools in the district. The meeting will include a public comment portion in which members of the community will be allowed to speak to the board for the first time since the Monday indictment.

Ziegler was fired earlier this month from his post after the grand jury released its report on the school district’s handling of the two sexual assaults. Daniel Smith was appointed as the interim superintendent of the district.
