Biden, on Thursday, will make his fourth in a series of presidential addresses about the state of democracy, a cause that is driving his motivation to stay in office even amid low approval ratings that are rattling his party and widespread concern from voters about his age. The location, as it has been for other speeches, is deliberately chosen and poignant: It will be at the home of the McCain Institute, named after the late Arizona Sen. John McCain. Biden speech honoring John McCain

President Joe Biden will speak on the importance of strengthening democracy on Thursday in a speech that honors his close personal friend, and political rival, the late Sen. John McCain.

Biden’s speech comes the same day as the first indictment inquiry hearing against him in the House, regarding his alleged interactions with, and personal knowledge of, his son Hunter Biden‘s foreign business dealings.

In the speech, Biden is expected to condemn the “extremist” MAGA movement and is expected to announce federal funding for a new museum and library in honor of the late senator, which would be constructed in Arizona.
