Social media revels in Nikki Haley’s blurb on Ramaswamy’s book

Former South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley wrote a blurb on Vivek Ramaswamy’s book that conveyed an opposing opinion to what she said during Wednesday’s debate.
Capitalist Punishment is Ramaswamy’s latest release, which featured a blurb written by Haley that complimented his previous book, Woke, Inc. A picture of the blurb garnered attention online since the former governor attacked Ramaswamy for using TikTok. During the debate, she gestured to Ramaswamy after he defended using the platform and said: “Honestly, every time I hear you, I feel a little bit dumber for what you say.”

Meanwhile, in her blurb, Haley compliments Ramaswamy as an author who “speaks truth without fear.” The book was meant to explain how “woke” identity politics divides America and, as the title suggests, scams social justice initiatives.
“His combination of honesty, intellect, and foresight are exactly what we need to overcome our challenges in the years ahead,” Haley wrote of Ramaswamy.
At 37, Ramaswamy is the youngest candidate in the race and touts his following on TikTok, which he defended by claiming he was trying to win over the next generation on the platform. Haley referred to the Chinese platform as “one of the most dangerous social media assets.”

“I’d say this aged very well,” Ramaswamy’s campaign posted on X, formerly known as Twitter. The account reposted clips of Haley’s daughter Rena’s posts on TikTok. The campaign called on the former governor and United Nations ambassador to explain her daughter’s account.
Haley and Ramaswamy are facing off against former President Donald Trump, former Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson, former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie, former Texas Rep. Will Hurd, former Vice President Mike Pence, Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC), Gov. Doug Burgum (R-ND), and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) in the race to win the GOP presidential nomination.
