Robert Menendez indicted: New Jersey senator faces charges following federal investigation into alleged bribery

Sen. Bob Menendez (D-NJ) and his wife have been indicted by the Justice Department on bribery charges in connection to their “corrupt” relationship with three New Jersey businessmen.

The indictment against the senator and his wife dropped on Friday following a criminal investigation from the Southern District of New York. The DOJ alleges Menendez and his wife accepted gold bars worth hundreds of thousands of dollars from a felon in a trade for help.
