Indivisible Action, a progressive PAC first created to oppose Donald Trump‘s presidency, announced on Tuesday it would endorse President Joe Biden‘s reelection campaign.

Ninety-seven percent of the thousands of group leaders, group members, and unaffiliated activists supported the endorsement of Biden’s 2024 campaign after a two-week voting period, according to the group.

“We are so proud to make this endorsement official today. In his first term, President Biden has led the country through a perilous period, while also delivering on transformational policies on climate and economic opportunity with the slimmest congressional majorities,” Leah Greenberg, the co-executive director of Indivisible, said in a statement. “President Biden has restored decency and leadership to the White House, and perhaps most importantly, he has been a champion for democracy and choice in the face of MAGA extremism that has worked to rollback rights and personal freedoms at every turn.”

Trump leads all GOP presidential candidates and is likely to face Biden next year for a rematch after his loss in 2020. The former president faces multiple indictments stemming from four criminal cases that Trump has claimed are blatant attempts at election interference from Biden.

Indivisible Action was founded in 2017 after Trump’s defeat of Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton, and it helped the Democrats win back the House from Republicans during the 2018 midterm elections. The group says it will mobilize its network to help Biden win the presidency again next year, retain the Democratic-led Senate, and retake the GOP House.

“Everything we care about is on the ballot next November: our bodily autonomy, economic and climate justice, and the fate of democracy itself. We can and will use our people power to win: to reelect Joe Biden, expand our majorities, and reclaim our rights and democracy. That work starts here,” Greenberg said.

The Biden campaign hailed the endorsement on Tuesday. “President Biden and Vice President Harris are honored to be endorsed by Indivisible, one of the most active and engaged grassroots organizations in the United States,” campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a statement. “To win in 2024, the president needs a diverse and broad coalition of voters in every corner of the country, and the organizing power of groups like Indivisible will be critical as we continue to build unprecedented support for President Biden and Vice President Harris to finish the job for the American people.”

The Biden campaign has faced several polls in recent weeks showing that voters think the 80-year-old president may be too old to serve another term, but he is viewed as the party’s best shot at keeping the White House.
