America First Legal announced its investigation on Monday into the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s push for transgender parent breastfeeding policies.

The CDC’s website encourages transgender parents to breastfeed infants by advising them to get “medication to induce lactation.”

CDC’s website promotes “ensuring health equity” by using “terms that are inclusive of all gender identities.”

AFL has launched Freedom of Information Act requests into the CDC’s guidance.

“In yet another display of insanity, the Biden Administration has encouraged off-label use of medications in an attempt to deny biological reality and promote the notion that biological men can breastfeed,” America First Legal Vice President Gene Hamilton said.

Sens. Roger Marshall (R-KS) and Bill Cassidy (R-LA) have been pressing CDC Director Mandy Cohen this summer on the recent guidance on “chestfeeding.”

The senators explained in a letter to the CDC head that the medication inducing lactation for transgender people has not been approved by the Food and Drug Administration, and for growing infants, the ingestion of hormones and medication through lactation could lead to “serious health complications.”

“We will obtain any and all records to uncover who is pushing this radical agenda and why they are advancing this ideology while neglecting the potential negative health impacts,” AFL’s Hamilton said.
