One of former President Donald Trump‘s co-defendants will remain in custody at Fulton County Jail after he did not negotiate a bond agreement with Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis‘s office.

Harrison Floyd, the head of the group Black Voices for Trump, is among 18 co-defendants in the Georgia 2020 election subversion case. He and former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows surrendered to authorities on Thursday ahead of Trump’s expected arrival this evening.

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN TRUMP TURNS HIMSELF IN TO FULTON COUNTY JAIL

“The bond orders and stipulations are the result of negotiations between the District Attorney’s office and the defendants’ attorneys,” the Fulton County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement. “While Mr. Meadows had previously negotiated his bond agreement and has been released, Mr. Floyd did not and, therefore, is in custody at the Fulton County Jail.”

Floyd is the first defendant to be held at the jail, which is notorious for being a consistently overcrowded, bedbug- and fire-ant-ridden detention center. The jail is currently under investigation by the Justice Department for alleged civil rights violations.

Eight remaining defendants, including Trump, are expected to surrender by Friday, the sheriff’s office said.

Floyd was charged in May with assaulting an FBI agent after he threatened two agents who served a subpoena at his apartment in Maryland. He is accused of body-slamming an agent while screaming expletives at the agent and his colleague. Floyd faces a charge of simple assault on a federal officer.

In Willis’s investigation into efforts to overturn the election results in the state, Floyd faces charges of violating Georgia’s racketeering act, conspiracy to commit solicitation of false statements and writings, and influencing witnesses.

Along with Meadows, former Trump lawyers Rudy Giuliani, Jenna Ellis, and Sidney Powell have had their mug shots taken and were released by officials in Fulton County after posting bond, following regular procedures.
