A former New York City college professor who went viral after holding a machete to the throat of a reporter, telling him she would “chop” him up, might receive a plea agreement with no jail time.

The purported deal, which has not been confirmed, could be the result of negotiations with the prosecution, according to a report.

A “possible disposition” exists in the case against 46-year-old Shellyne Rodriguez, Bronx Criminal Court Judge Matthew Bondy said.

Rodriguez, who first went viral after she cursed out and destroyed a display table put up by anti-abortion students, threatened New York Post’s Reuven Fenton in May with a machete after he knocked on the door of her Bronx apartment.

“Get the f*** away from my door or I’m gonna chop you up with this machete!” Rodriguez told Fenton.

Mere moments after issuing the threat, Rodriguez, who was fired from Hunter College shortly following the incident, stormed out and put the blade to Fenton’s throat, according to now-viral footage posted to social media.

“Get the f*** away from my door!” she screamed. “Get the f*** away from my door!”

She then slammed the door in Fenton’s face.

Fenton, who had supposedly gone to the apartment to ask about the incident with the anti-abortion students, appeared to maintain his composure and left the building with a New York Post photographer.

They were followed outside by Rodriguez, who accosted them, the report noted.

“If I see you on this block one more f***ing time, you’re gonna—” Rodriguez, armed with the machete, said. “Get the f*** off the block! Get the f*** out of here, yo!”

Bondy has extended a protection order for Fenton, but a plea agreement has not been determined or communicated to Rodriguez, who is charged with harassing and menacing Fenton, the Bronx District Attorney’s Office said.

“We are reviewing information sent by defense counsel, continuing our investigation, and keeping the victim apprised of any developments,” a statement from the office read, according to the report.
