
Hunter Biden investigation: Prosecutors are at ‘impasse’ on plea and expect a trial

Prosecutors say plea negotiations in the Hunter Biden case are “at an impasse” and President Joe Biden‘s son is likely heading toward a criminal trial.
Last month during the younger Biden’s arraignment, the judge presiding over the hearing was hesitant to move forward with the plea agreement established between his attorneys and U.S. Attorney David Weiss‘s office.

The Friday filing from prosecutors came just a moment after Attorney General Merrick Garland gave Weiss special counsel status in the investigation over the first son.
