Former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway blasted Republicans for not more firmly supporting Georgia Senate candidate Herschel Walker, saying he was left to fend for himself ahead of Tuesday’s runoff election that saw Warnock secure an outright majority for Senate Democrats.
While appearing on Fox News’s Hannity on Wednesday, Conway reflected on the Republicans’ disappointing midterm elections outcome, saying the problem is not a need for new messaging.
“To the 49 Republican senators, where were most of you? Why weren’t you in Georgia?” Conway said. “A few of them were there, but they all should have been.”

Conway suggested Republican senators should have been present “answering people’s concerns” through various means, concerns that line up with the Republican Party’s message on crime, the economy, and border security.
“I can’t expect you, the voter, to come to me, so if you’re accustomed to getting it by text or phone or email or social media app or through a friend or family member, that’s the key here,” she added.
Conway also acknowledged that Republicans must “adapt” to early voting or “die.”
“We need to get these votes early,” she said. “Taking a big chance someone can get out of the house, come out of work, a lot of traffic, not feeling sick that day. It’s pro-incumbent. It’s election season. These are the rules. You either adapt or die as a party, and we can do this.”

Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel has been vocal in recent days about changing the party’s approach to mail-in balloting.
McDaniel told Fox News on Tuesday that “if Democrats are getting ballots in for a month, we can’t expect to get it all done in one day.”
