Most food stamp recipients have had their benefits for the month of August loaded onto their EBT cards, with those with a case number that ends in zero through three getting their payment during the first wave on Aug. 1 and those with a case number ending in four or five seeing their benefits during the second wave on Aug. 4.
Beneficiaries with a case number ending in numbers six through nine will see their benefits during the third wave on Aug. 7, which will complete the distribution of the food stamp payments for the month.
The next round of monthly benefit payment distribution will begin on Sept. 1, under the same schedule as for the August payments. To be eligible for food stamp benefits in Virginia, a person may not make more than a certain income depending on household size.
