Out of a surveyed group of Americans who voted for President Joe Biden in 2020, 64% admit the economy has not improved since.

Per a Reuters/Ipsos poll published Friday, 42% of Biden voters reported the economy was “worse” than it was in 2020, and 24% reported it was “about the same.” Meanwhile, only a third reported it was “better.”

As a result, Biden lost 19% of his previous voters in the poll, as they reported they either weren’t sure who to vote for or would rather vote for someone other than Biden or former President Donald Trump. The president lost 6% of voters to Trump.

Still, 78% of Biden’s 2020 voters reported their approval of Biden’s presidential performance. This is much higher than the 40% approval rating he garnered from all respondents. This reflects a similar poll that found Biden has 43% of support, tied with Trump. According to Gallup, Biden’s approval rating has not risen above 42% since his third quarter in office.

Among the voters, 35% reported when it comes to his administration investing in the economy, it was “not enough.” Another 53% reported that it had invested “about the right amount,” and 3% reported “too much.” The remaining respondents didn’t know how to respond.
