Those who receive benefits from the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program in Florida can expect to see their monthly payments for the month of August beginning in one day, with distribution continuing throughout the month.
In the Sunshine State, food stamps, a form of assistance to help pay for food and groceries, are handed out to recipients from the 1st through the 28th of every month. Who will receive their monthly benefits on Aug. 1 through Aug. 28 depends on a formula.
HUNTER BIDEN INVESTIGATION: WHY THE DEVON ARCHER TESTIMONY IS SO IMPORTANT
The formula Florida uses for SNAP benefit distribution takes the ninth digit followed by the eighth digit of a person’s case number to create a two digit number, which corresponds to a day when someone receives their benefits. If a recipient’s ninth digit is 9 and their eighth digit is 8, then the number for this formula would be 98.
Those who have case numbers in which this combination is 00-03 will receive their benefits on the 1st of the month. Those who receive their benefits from the 2nd through the 27th of the month are in groups of three, beginning with 04-06 for the 2nd of the month and ending with 93-95 for the 27th. Those whose ninth and eighth digits are 96-99 receive their benefits on the 28th.
