Actor Tim Allen posted a joke about Hunter Biden‘s laptop on social media on Wednesday, the same day a judge rejected Hunter Biden’s plea deal.
Allen said that he “got in trouble in the old Twitter” over a joke he had made regarding Hunter Biden’s laptop. Allen’s comment on “the old Twitter” likely refers to the social media platform’s time before it was purchased by billionaire Elon Musk.

Hunter Biden’s laptop made headlines ahead of the 2020 presidential election when the New York Post broke a story on Oct. 14, 2020, implicating then-candidate Joe Biden in his son’s business dealings based on findings on the laptop. Last week, an FBI official told the House Judiciary Committee in a transcribed interview that at least one top agent and likely others, who were warning social media companies about a “hack and dump” operation ahead of the 2020 election, knew that the laptop was real.
Allen is no stranger to making fun of the Biden family, as he joked in 2022 that President Joe Biden had appeared on the show 60 minutes and had heard the president ask “how long the show was.”

Hunter Biden pleaded “not guilty” in court Wednesday after United States District Judge Maryellen Noreika said she was not ready to accept a so-called sweetheart plea deal after the prosecution revealed the investigation was ongoing.
Biden, 53, through his attorneys, had argued the prearranged plea deal should be accepted in its entirety, which would have included Biden pleading guilty to two misdemeanor tax charges and entering a diversion agreement for a felony gun charge. Biden ended up pleading not guilty to the tax charges in a surprise turn of events. However, Noreika delayed ruling on the agreement until she obtained additional briefings from the government and the defendant’s counsel.
