Armed Philadelphia pizza delivery driver stops carjacking

A Philadelphia pizza delivery man thwarted an attempted carjacking and robbery by pulling out his own gun.
Philadelphia police said the 21-year-old pizza delivery driver was approached at gunpoint by two alleged carjackers in the city’s Chestnut Hill neighborhood just before midnight on Tuesday, according to WTXF.

The driver was reportedly forced into the backseat of his car. That’s when he was able to reach his own handgun and fired off two shots.
Police said the driver had a permit to carry.

One of the suspects, a 23-year-old man, was reportedly hit in the back and taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The other suspect got away.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
