Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R-FL) campaign is outspending all his Republican rivals in digital advertising.

Ad spending reports from Open Secrets found that DeSantis spent nearly twice that of his closest contender, former President Donald Trump. The Florida governor’s campaign has paid Google and Meta roughly $1.8 million so far on digital ads. Trump’s campaign has only spent $928,544, according to the report.

Vivek Ramaswamy, who has grown in polling in recent weeks, took third place, with roughly $700,000 spent.

President Joe Biden has dwarfed the entire GOP field, with his campaign having spent $2.5 million on ads on Meta platforms and $924,300 on Google ads.

Despite DeSantis’s lead in digital advertising spending, he has continued to recede in the polls. A recent poll from Morning Consult had DeSantis at 17%, 39 percentage points behind Trump.
