Vice President Kamala Harris is speaking at the Essence Festival of Culture in New Orleans.

The festival is described by the vice president of the event, Hakeem Holmes, as a “crown jewel of Black culture” that “plays a pivotal role in the amplification and celebration of the contributions of the Black community through business, music and more,” the Associated Press reported.
