Pentagon Press Briefing
The Pentagon is holding a press briefing after news that a top Russian general is being investigated over his possible role in the recent Wagner mutiny.
Recent reports revealed that General Sergei Suvorikin, the former commander of all forces in Ukraine who has earned the nickname “General Armageddon,” is under investigation by Russian authorities over his possible role in Wagner’s mutiny and march on Moscow.
Suvorikin appeared publicly on camera soon after the mutiny began, pleading with the Wagner troops to stand down and return to their positions. Nevertheless, United States intelligence officials have said that he had advanced knowledge of the mutiny.
