A pro-Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) political action committee is initiating a mail campaign in two key early primary states highlighting books removed from schools by the Florida governor over “sexually graphic material.”

Never Back Down will be sending mailers to hundreds of thousands of Republican voters in both South Carolina and Iowa this week.

“Warning: The contents of this mailer include sexually graphic materials that Ron DeSantis removed from schools,” reads the front of the mailer.

The cover and two pages of the controversial book Gender Queer are featured on the other side. The book’s illustrations were censored and blurred by the PAC.

“The woke Left and their corporate allies are winning and they are destroying the promise of America’s next generation,” the PAC writes.

According to the mailer, “only DeSantis” is taking on corporations and standing up for parents.

The mail campaign comes as DeSantis traveled to South Carolina on Thursday, holding an afternoon event with voters in North Augusta.

On Thursday morning, DeSantis’s campaign announced 15 endorsements from lawmakers in the Palmetto state. Among those endorsing the governor are state Sens. Josh Kimbrell, Dwight Loftis, Rex Rice, Danny Verdin, and state Reps. Gary Brewer, Micah Caskey, Bill Herbkersman, Bill Hixon, Brandon Guffey, Steven Long, Travis Moore, Dennis Moss, Chris Murphy, Roger Nutt, and Ashley Trantham.

“Governor DeSantis’s leadership has made Florida a refuge for those seeking freedom in a nation where it is under attack,” Kimbrell said. “No Republican in the country has beaten the radical left more than Governor DeSantis, and he is the only candidate in this race who can defeat Joe Biden, put energy back in the executive, and deliver on a bold conservative agenda that Republicans across South Carolina are looking for.”

DeSantis is polling at 20% among potential Republican primary voters, according to Morning Consult. He is behind only former President Donald Trump, with 57%.
