Country star Jason Aldean’s wife, Brittany, posted a picture of herself throwing away Balenciaga clothing items Wednesday as the fashion house continues to face backlash over a controversial ad campaign that featured young children and BDSM props.
“It’s trash day @balenciaga,” she wrote on Instagram.

In the recent ad campaign, photos featured young children holding teddy bears donning BDSM gear, while other shots showed children near BDSM props and wine glasses. Further, court documents from a Supreme Court ruling on child pornography was spotted in one of the ads.
Following backlash, Balenciaga posted a statement to its Instagram story, saying, “We sincerely apologize for any offense our holiday campaign may have caused. Our plush bear bags should not have been featured with children in this campaign. We have immediately removed the campaign from all platforms.”

The designer has since moved to sue the production company and set designer for $25 million, but only for the inclusion of the documents relating to the 2008 United States v. Williams decision
Its most famous celebrity relationship, with Kim Kardashian, also appears to be in jeopardy. She tweeted that she is “currently re-evaluating my relationship with the brand.”

However, some are criticizing Kardashian for not outright denouncing Balenciaga. Megyn Kelly called the reality star a “disgusting, shameful billionaire” for her refusal to dissociate, claiming that “money is worth more than her morals and the protection of these children to her.”
