A Juneteenth celebration in Southern California came to an abrupt end Saturday evening, after one person was killed in a shooting, which left at least one other victim wounded.
The previously scheduled event at Liberty Station in San Diego was brought to an immediate halt, according to reports by local news outlet FOX5 citing authorities.

The San Diego Police Department said it received initial calls regarding the gunfire around 6:45 p.m. local time.
A review of the company’s master calendar described the concert—“All Hands on Deck”—as a “family friendly” environment.
