Approximately 5 out of 6 female Republican voters do not want Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) to become the next president, according to a new survey.

The poll found 54% of respondents prefer former President Donald Trump, compared to DeSantis’s 16%, if they voted today in the 2024 Republican presidential primary. Former Vice President Mike Pence comes in third place with 6% support.

“Trump fares better — and DeSantis fares worse — among women in this group of registered Republicans and Republican leaners,” the polling memo stated, according to Florida Politics. “Trump performs better among people in this group without a college degree and DeSantis among people with one.”

Eleven percent of Republican and Republican-leaning voters, both male and female, remain unsure about who they’d vote for in a hypothetical primary.

“Trump continues to be the top choice of registered voters who are Republicans or independents who lean toward the Republican Party,” the memo read.

The poll also revealed Trump holds a 51% to 20% lead over DeSantis across all demographics, while the other GOP candidates are stuck in single digits.
