Conservatives call for Kellogg’s boycott after ‘Tony the Tiger’ poses with Dylan Mulvaney at Tony Awards

Kellogg’s Frosted Flakes cereal mascot Tony the Tiger was seen walking the Tony Awards’ magenta carpet with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney on Sunday, and Conservatives are now saying it’s time to cancel the cereal company.

The tiger mascot appeared to surprise Mulvaney, a biological male who identifies as a transgender female, causing the influencer to stumble between photo stops outside the United Palace theater in New York.

“Oh, my God,” Mulvaney said. “That scared the hell out of me.”

Tony the Tiger then escorted Mulvaney as they posed for photos together, raising questions about whether a new brand partnership was in the works.

“That’s always been my line. You associate with Dylan Mulvaney and you’re done with me,” one user on twitter wrote.

“Tony is thrilled to celebrate all the amazing talent and present them with a new ‘Tony’ moment after the curtain falls,” Kellogg Senior Director of Brand Marketing Laura Newman told Fansided.

Newman explained that the mascot would present gold bowls featuring Frosted Flakes.

Many are now calling for Kelloggs to be added to the growing list of companies to boycott.

Mulvaney shared on Instagram that the trip to the Tony Awards was in coordination with Meta. The influencer was seen sporting a new blonde hairstyle and wearing a black, sparkly dress designed by Christian Siriano.

The Kellogg Company has previously teamed up with Gay and Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation. In 2021, the Kellogg Company promoted its “Together with Pride” cereal.

Mulvaney’s partnership with Bud Light has stirred widespread criticism, including a boycott of the beer brand that led to sales plummeting by upward of 20%.
